Genshin Impact Reveals Skirk's Backstory in New Animated Short

Genshin Impact revealed a new animated short, titled "Star Odyssey," in anticipation of the upcoming Version 5.7 update. The new animated short reveals how Skirk came to Tevyat and highlights some interesting lore regarding Descenders. Check out the Japanese version of the short:

Furina and Neuvilette make an appearance, alongside characters such as Alice, Dainsleif, and Childe, who have cameos as Skirk travels throughout Tevyat to follow in Surtalogi's footsteps.

Skirk is an upcoming Cryo DPS 5-star character. She was mentioned in the story early on, as Tartaglia's master. She is a disciple of " The Foul" Surtalogi, who is one of the Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah. Skirk is said to be incredibly powerful as she spent a lot of time training in the Abyss. Genshin Impact players first met Skirk in Fontaine. That is also when she made her last appearance in-game.

Version 5.7 of Genshin Impact is titled "A Space and Time for You." The new patch will allow players to meet Dainsleif once again, through a continuation of the Loom of Fate storyline, and more Abyss Order mysteries. The patch is expected to release on June 17/18, dependingon the time zone.
