Gachiakuta Unveils Trailer Ahead of July 6 Premiere Date
Gachikauta anime revealed a trailer, theme songs, and a key visual earlier today. The anime will premiere on July 6. The theme songs are:
- Opening: "HUGs" by Paledusk
- Ending: "TOMOSHIBI" by DUSTCEL
The Gachiakuta anime will be led by director Fumihiko Suganuma at Bones Film. Satoshi Ishino is heading up character design and chief animation, with Hiroshi Seko on series composition. Taku Iwasaki is handling the music for the anime.
The main voice cast includes:
- Aoi Ichikawa as Rudo
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Enjin
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Zanka
- Yumiri Hanamori as Riyo
- Toshiyuki Morikawa as Regto
- Yuki Shin as Jabber
Gachiakuta is an action manga written and illustrated by Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022. Kodansha USA licensed the series in English.

Rudo lives in the slums of a floating town, where the poor scrape by under the shadow of the rich who live a sumptuous life, simply casting their garbage off the side, into the abyss. Then one day, he’s falsely accused of murder, and his wrongful conviction leads to an unimaginable punishment—exile off the edge, with the rest of the trash. Down on the surface, the cast-off waste of humanity has bred vicious monsters, and if Rudo wants to have any hope of discovering the truth and seeking vengeance against those who cast him into Hell, he will have to master a new power and join a group known as the Cleaners who battle the hulking trash beasts of the Pit!
