From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman Anime Unveils New Trailer

The currently ongoing From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman anime revealed a new trailer as the story reaches a new arc. The 12-episode anime began airing on April 5.

Studio Passione and Hayabusa Film are animating the series with Akio Kazumi as the director. Kunihiko Okada is in charge of the series composition, and Satsuki Hayakasa is doing the character designs. Yasuharu Takanashi is composing the music.

The anime is streaming on Amazon Prime, which describes the plot:
Beryl Gardenant, a middle-aged swordsman running a dojo in the backwaters, lives a quiet life, until Allucia, former student and Commander of the Royal Order of Knights, appears! Beryl’s life is about to change dramatically! City life. Old students. New friends and formidable foes. It’s all too much. But after years of training, he has mad skills, and he’s been dubbed “the backwater swordmaster.”

The anime will adapt the From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman: My Hotshot Disciples Are All Grown Up Now, and They Won’t Leave Me Alone written by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. A manga adaptation by Kazuki Sato is also currently ongoing.
