Frieren Season 2 Official Trailer Revealed
The Frieren: Beyond Journey's End anime has revealed the official trailer for the upcoming second season. Studio MADHOUSE returns to animate the highly anticipated sequel, with a premiere date of January 2026.
Tomoya Kitagawa is the directing the sequel with Daiki Harashina as an assistant director. Tomohiro Suzuki is in charge of the series composition. Maru Takase, Yuri Fujinaka, and Keisuke Kojima are doing the character designs. Evan Call returns to compose the music.
The first season of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End premiered in 2023 and became one of 2024's most popular anime, earning multiple awards at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025, including "Best Drama."
The anime adapts the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End manga written by Kanehito Yamada and drawn by Tsukasa Abe. The manga began serialization in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2020 and is still ongoing. It has been compiled into 14 volumes. VIZ Media licenses the series in English, with volume 13 releasing in May 2025.

After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
