Eleceed Anime Announced for 2026
Eleceed manhwa is getting an anime adaptation by DandeLion Animation Studio (The First Slam Dunk), slated to premiere in 2026. The teaser trailer has been revealed:
The staff includes:
- Director: Hiroshi Nishikiori (Idolish7: The Movie, Honey Lemon Soda)
- Series Composition & Script: Yousuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia)
- Character Design: Minami Sakura (Gridman Universe)

The anime will adapt the Eleceed manhwa, published as a webtoon, written by Jeho Son and illustrated by ZHENA. The webtoon has been published on Naver Webtoon in original Korean and Line Webtoon in English since 2018. The original author commented on the adaptation:

The Eleceed anime's plot is teased as:
High school student Jiwoo Seo knows nothing of the hidden world around him. Terrified of his own mysterious powers, he lives quietly, concealing his abilities from everyone.
But everything changes the day he rescues a battered stray cat.
“YOU IDIOT. CHECK WHAT ON ME？PUT ME DOWN NOW.”
To Jiwoo’s shock, the injured cat talks.
The stray is none other than Kayden—the most powerful Awakened being alive.
Gravely injured and caught off guard, he had no choice but to transfer his consciousness into a cat to survive. While he recovers and waits to return to his human form, Kayden takes up residence in Jiwoo’s home. So begins an unlikely partnership between a kind-hearted boy who’s never found his place in the world and a reclusive powerhouse with a short temper. Their fateful encounter draws them into a web of powerful Awakened organizations and dangerous conspiracies.
Together, they may just change the world.
