Daemons of the Shadow Realm Anime Reveals Cast, 2026 Debut
The Daemons of the Shadow Realm anime adaptation revealed a cast reveal trailer at today's Aniplex Online Fest 2025. The anime will premiere in 2026. As previously announced, studio BONES is animating.
The cast for Daemons of the Shadow Realm anime includes:
- Kensho Ono as Yuru
- Yume Miyamoto as Dera
- Yuichi Nakamura as Asa
- Misaki Kuno as Gabu-chan
The upcoming anime adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's popular manga series is being adapted by studio Bones, with Masahiro Ando (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, My Hero Academia) directing. The project was first announced during this year's Anime Expo in July, where a teaser trailer and first visual were revealed.
Daemons of the Shadow Realm is a supernatural action series written and illustrated by the award-winning Hiromu Arakawa, known for her beloved works such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Silver Spoon. The manga has been published since December 2021 in Square Enix's Monthly Shounen Gangan magazine, and has so far been collected into ten volumes.
Square Enix licenses the manga in English, and they describe the series as follows:
In a world where certain humans command mighty supernatural duos called Daemons, it is the birthright of "the children who sunder day and night"—twins Yuru and Asa—to rule over these powerful entities. Separated from a young age and unaware of the truth of their birth, brother and sister must fight to make their way back to each other, claim their birthright, and save the world...
