Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Reveals Teaser Trailer
The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 revealed a teaser trailer that was shared at the Anime Expo 2025 alongside the official announcement yesterday. Studio TRIGGER is animating the series that will feature a new crew and be set in the Night City. Kai Ikarashi is the director. The new series will have 10 episodes.
Ikarashi previously directed the sixth episode of the first season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and is now replacing Hiroyuki Imaishi. They're joined by returning collaborators Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Promare) and Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor as Showrunner, Story Writer, and Producer.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an original anime series that premiered in the Summer 2022 anime season. The anime had 10 episodes and is streaming on Netflix. The story expands on the world of the Cyberpunk 2077 game but is not directly related to its plot, just set in the same universe.
The anime was directed by Imaishi with Yoshiki Usa on the series composition. Yo Yoshinari was in charge of the character designs. Rafal Jaki did the original concept.
