Cyberpunk and Gunnar Reveal New Collab
GUNNAR Optiks has officially revealed a new collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED's Cyberpunk 2077, titled Dex and inspired by Night City fixer Dexter DeShawn. The glasses, priced at $125, come in three colors.
In Cyberpunk 2077 Dexter DeShawn also known as Dex is major antagonist and is a well-known fixer in Night City. In 2077, he had recently returned to the city after spending a few years off the grid.
The Cyberpunk Dex collection takes inspiration from the futuristic and bold style of the game. The frames are made out of magnesium-aluminium alloy, and they sport oversized-lens design. The color options are known as Amber, Amber-Max, and Sunglass.
The product boasts blue-light blocking technology and a G-Shield that protects glasses from smudges, scratches, and glare, as well as a subtle 0.2 diopters to increase focus.
A collector's edition option is also available: it comes with a Cyberpunk-inspired padded sleeve, microfiber cleaning cloth, and a 12-month warranty.
About Cyberpunk
Cyberpunk 2077 is a role-playing game, released in 2020 and developed and published by CD Projekt Red. The story starts with the player taking a job of stealing a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. Players are free to customize their characters and explore the world. A sequel is in development.
The franchise also has a 10-episode anime series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, released in 2022. Studio TRIGGER animated the series, which expands on the world of the game but features an independent storyline. It is available on Netflix.
The Cyberpunk franchise has also been expanded to the world of comics and card games.
