Cyberpunk 2077 and Gunnar Dex Collaboration Review

Cyberpunk 2077 and Gunnar Optiks have launched a Dex-themed collaboration, bringing out a collection of specialized glasses for gamers. As someone who really struggles with headaches, especially while gaming, I found this very exciting to try out. In this review, we received a pair of these gamer glasses to try out for ourselves.

If you're unfamiliar with Gunnar Optiks and what they do, they mainly specialize in gaming and computer glasses to reduce eye strain, fatigue, and dry eyes that are caused by prolonged screentime. These new glasses are designed around Cyberpunk 2077, particularly the in-game character Dexter DeShawn.

For those unfamiliar with Cyberpunk 2077, it is an open-world action RPG that mainly focuses on intense combat with eye-catching neon colours. Whether it's finding yourself with headaches, eyestrain, or more, Gunnar (based in Carlsbad, California, USA) wants to make sure that everyone has a comfortable gaming session. There are glasses in different colors, depending on what you want or like. You can also add your prescription to them, or use them as sunglasses for the nice, clear days ahead.

Design

At first glance, the design of the glasses carry that cyberpunk theming throughout the design, with an amber tint to them, metallic frames, and a cushioned case with the logo and the cloth that has a cyberpunk design printed on it. It is definitely what I would imagine a cyberpunk pair of glasses would be. The frames are thick and metallic, but surprisingly light.

The amber lenses aren't too overpowering during long gaming sessions or as sunglasses. Even with the metal frames, I am able to wear my overhead headphones comfortably, without any irritation on top or behind my ears. They feel like a high-quality pair with the metallic frames as well as the strong lenses. I feel comfortable wearing them as well as taking them with me with the cushioned case.

I personally suffer from headaches and eyestrain while working and gaming in general. Since wearing these glasses, I noticed a massive difference, and have fewer of these issues after wearing them, even after a long period of time. On top of that, they are lightweight and comfortable. I would definitely recommend a pair for any gamers who suffer from headaches or eyestrain, as the lenses help reduce the amount of light your eyes take in.

Overall, I would recommend Gunnar Optiks as a brand in general, and I will be wearing these during all my gaming sessions as well as outside when the sun is out.
