Crossed Hearts Announce First Yuri Title for Glam Beat Imprint

#news #manhua February 14, 2026

Crossed Hearts publisher has announced its first title for the new GLAM BEAT! imprint, Borrowing Your Textbook 175160. GLAM BEAT! is dedicated to all things girls’ love, with the goal of being home to all Korean, Chinese, and Japanese releases in the genre in the future.

Borrowing Your Textbook 175160 cover

The debut work under the imprint, Borrowing Your Textbook 175160, is advertised as manga but is actually a manhua title by TaaRO. This series will be released digitally starting in April on a chapter-by-chapter basis (despite the cover stating “volume”. The publisher describes the story as follows:

Su Yao is 175 cm tall and painfully aware of it.
Liu Xi is 160 cm tall, close enough that Su Yao never quite knows where to place her hands, her gaze, or her heart. It begins with an excuse too small to question.
“Can I borrow your textbook?” One excuse becomes another.
A shared desk.
A sleeve gently tugged.
A smile warm enough to linger. Su Yao tells herself she’s only being thoughtful. Only being kind. But every time Liu Xi tilts her head and looks up, something inside her falters. Between after-school corridors and stolen glances, the distance between them tightens until breathing feels dangerous and standing still feels worse.
What if she reaches out?
What if she doesn’t?

There are currently 7 chapters in the native release, but no compiled volume. So it will be interesting to see whether we’ll be treated to one in the West, or if this is a title that will be digital-only due to the chapter-release structure.

Crossed Hearts teased that their next license announcement for the imprint will be a Baihe title. The team is keen to bring a variety of titles to the West in digital-first releases with premium print editions to follow, which are said to include much-requested collectables such as acrylics. GLAM BEAT! Will see 12 titles released under it in the first year.
