Chiikawa Bakery Brings in a Taste of Summer With New "Suntanned" Bread Line

Chiikawa Bakery ("Omokado" 3rd Floor, Tokyu Plaza Omotesando 4-30-3 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku) has just announced a new limited edition menu featuring breads and drinks with a summer holiday theme. The summer menu will be available from July 18 to September 15, 2025. This bakery is an officially licensed bakery that is purely dedicated to Chiikawa, the iconic character from Nagano's manga.

The summer menu will have signature character breads that have a suntanned look to keep the summer theme. This effect is created by using a coffee spray to give that slightly dark, tanned look. The three main characters (Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi) are all featured in this style, each of them wearing a different pair of sunglasses.

The limited-edition menu includes the following items:

This item is the Chiikawa-shaped bread with the suntanned look and heart-shaped glasses, filled with custard cream
The Hachiware-shaped bread with a suntanned look, and blue, round glasses, filled with a chocolate cream
The Usagi suntanned bread with star-shaped sunglasses and caramel cream

To be able to experience these amazing themed goodies, the bakery requires a web-only reservation for entry, which includes a deposit of 1,000 yen (est. $6.83) ticket that is deducted from purchases. While the bakery recommends booking in advance, the same-day reservation option can be found here.

The limited-edition menu also includes drinks featuring the original takeout cups with a unique logo. The drinks are iced tea and coffee, both priced at 590 yen (est.$4.02), an iced caffe latte priced at 690 yen (est.$4.71), iced matcha latte priced at 720 yen (est. $4.91), apple soda tea 790 yen (est. $5.39) and an orange soda tea that is priced 790 yen (est.$5.39). Customers who order any of these new drinks will receive a free 'Original Coaster' given with a unique design. There are a total of 12 designs.

Starting from August 1, there will be a new exciting bonus for booking in advance. From this date, customers who make this early reservation will receive an exclusive trading card, with nine different designs being released in two waves.
