Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Unveils New Trailer at NYCC
Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc revealed a new trailer and an illustration by character designer by Kazutaka Sugiyama at the New York Comic Con panel dedicated to the movie. The new trailer features the second verse (or 70% version) of Maximum the Hormone's "Hawatari Nioku Centi," which was the TV anime's third ending theme song. The movie premieres on October 24 in North America.

Studio MAPPA is returning to animate, after previously working on the first season of the Chainsaw Man adaptation under Ryu Nakayama’s direction. Tatsuya Yoshihara is directing the movie, with Kazutaka Sugiyama as the character designer and Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who is credited for creature designs. Kensuke Ushio is composing the music. MAPPA channel describes the plot of the Reze Arc movie as:
Denji became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.

The Chainsaw Man anime is adapting the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, currently serialized on the Shonen Jump+ platform. The series was initially launched in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2018. In English, it's available on the MANGA Plus app, with VIZ Media is publishing the volumes.
