Bungo Stray Dogs Reveals 9th Anniversary Visual

In April 2026, the Bungo Stray Dogs anime will celebrate its 10th anniversary, with various special projects and expansions planned throughout the one-year pre-celebration period. In line with its 9th anniversary celebrations, the anime has revealed its "The Seventh Month ～ The Ninth Month" projects with a visual featuring the Port Mafia members striking a number “9” pose.

In August, a collaboration campaign will be held with restaurant Dashichazuke En, highlighting Atsushi Nakajima's favorite ochazuke (tea-soaked rice). The event will be from August 5 to September 15.

In September, Animate will have the “Bungo Stray Dogs Autumn Grand Festival”. The event will highlight new merchandise featuring original illustrations of the Port Mafia traveling to Kyushu. These include acrylic stands, holographic character badge collections, mini trunk cases, and locker key-styled keychains. In addition, certain stores in the Kyushu region will display standee panels, which will be revealed at a later date.

From September 5th, the items in the collection will be unveiled sequentially at all Animate stores (including overseas stores) and on Animate's online store. 

Exclusive pop-up shops will also open at the Animate Ikebukuro Main Store (September 20th～October 5th) and the Animate Umeda Store (October 11th ～ October 26th). Character standees of the 9th anniversary celebratory visual will greet fans at these venues.

In addition, there will also be a lineup of merchandise featuring illustrations from the same visual, such as acrylic stands and trading can badges. There will also be many other attractive exhibits and displays, such as a mini diorama of Bar Lupin. More details of the merchandise will be announced at a later date.

Bungo Stray Dogs (Literary Stray Dogs) is a manga by Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa, serialized in Young Ace magazine since 2012. The series features characters inspired by famous literary figures such as Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, and Ryunosuke Akutagawa.

The series has also released multiple light novels, manga spin-offs, and live-action stage plays. Studio Bones animated the series in 2016 and has since produced a total of five seasons (61 episodes). Crunchyroll describes the plot:

Kicked out of his orphanage and on the verge of starving to death, Nakajima Atsushi meets some strange men. One of them, Dazai Osamu, is a suicidal man attempting to drown himself in broad daylight. The other, bespectacled Kunikida Doppo, nervously stands by flipping through a notepad. Both are members of the “Armed Detective Agency” said to solve incidents that even the military and police won’t touch. Atsushi ends up accompanying them on a mission to eliminate a man-eating tiger that’s been terrorizing the population…
