Build-a-Bear Adds Dessert-Themed Sanrio Plushies to Its Collection

Build-A-Bear is expanding its Sanrio Hello Kitty and Friends collection with new bears, modeled after some of the world's favorite desserts. The new additions include Donut Pompompurin, Cotton Candy Cinnamoroll, Cupcake Kuromi, and Cookie Pochacco. They have been available since May 22. As is always the case, the bears can be customized with outfits, accessories, scents, and sounds.

Sanrio is a Japanese company that focuses on cute characters and popular cultures since the 1960s. They are best known for their most popular character, Hello Kitty. Their products include a variety of items such as stationery, school supplies, gifts, and accessories, all featuring the famous mascots that fans across the world have loved and adored for years.

In 2024, Sanrio celebrated the 50th anniversary of its pioneer mascot character, Hello Kitty and this year, the company is running its milestone 40th Sanrio Character Ranking. The final results will be revealed on June 29, but the interim results reveal that the currently ranked top four are also the four plushies that were added to this collaboration.

Build-A-Bear's Sanrio line includes numerous plushies, clothes, stuffed animals, scents, and more.
