Blue Box Season 2 Reveals Trailer, Key Visual
The upcoming Season 2 of Blue Box anime revealed a trailer and a key visual, and the October 4, 2026, premiere date. The anime will stream exclusively on Netflix.

The new season of Blue Box also brings in a new studio: Electric Circus. Director Yuuichirou Yano will be replaced by Daisuke Sakou. Miho Tanino is returning on character designs, and so is Yuko Kakihara, who is in charge of series composition and screenplay. Takashi Ohmama is composing the music.
The main cast includes:
- Shoya Chiba as Taiki Inomata
- Reina Ueda as Chinatsu Kano
- Akari Kito as Hina Chono
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Kyo Kasahara
The first season of the Blue Box (Ao no Hako) anime was co-produced by TMS Entertainment, which handled production and planning, and Telecom Animation Film, which was credited for animation. The series was directed by Yuichiro Yano, with screenwriting by Yuko Kakihara and music by Takashi Ohmama.
The Blue Box anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Kouji Miura, serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 2021.
VIZ Media publishes the series in English and describes the story as:
Taiki admires Chinatsu from afar, but he doubts that she sees him in the same way. Yet somehow, he musters up the courage to tell her to never give up on her dreams! After such a bold declaration, will Taiki’s fleeting high school romance finally begin?
