Beat & Motion Anime Reveals Trailer and Visual

The MAPPA 15th Anniversary Lineup Reveal announced that Naoki Fujita's Beat & Motion manga is getting an anime adaptation. The anime will be exclusively released on Netflix in 2027.

The announcement also shared that Shuichiro Umeda will voice Tatsuhiko, and Aya Gomazuru will voice Nico. The Beat & Motion anime is directed by Yuki Komada, with series composition and scripts by Misaki Morie. Kazunori Aoki is the character designer, who is also serving as chief animation director with Mina Osawa.

Beat & Motion is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoki Fujita. It was serialized on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ app and has been compiled into a total of six volumes. VIZ Media published an English edition of the manga and describes the plot:

After that fateful night, Tatsuhiko posts a new animation on social media and soon finds that it’s gone viral! His favorite musician, Nico, reaches out and asks him to collaborate on a music video for one of her songs. At their first meeting, Tatsuhiko is shocked to discover that he recognizes Nico from the night that changed everything…
