BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai Premieres February 2026
Netflix has revealed that the previously announced BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai anime will premiere exclusively on Netflix on February 26, 2026. A new visual was also released.

The anime is based on Keisuke Itagaki’s BAKI-DOU, which was published in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2014 to 2018. The new anime series picks up after the biggest father-son fight on earth, where, with no worthy opponents left, Baki and the other battle-hardened fighters grow miserably bored — until a plan is enacted to resurrect Musashi Miyamoto, the greatest swordsman in Japanese history.
TMS ENTERTAINMENT, the studio behind Baki and Baki Hanma, is animating the series under the direction of Toshiki Hirano. The series composition is by Tatsuhiko Urahata, character design by Shingo Ishikawa, and music by Kenji Fujisawa. Nobunaga Shimazaki is returning to voice Baki. The rest of the voice cast includes:
- Akio Otsuka (Yujiro Hanma)
- Naoya Uchida (Musashi Miyamoto)
- Rikiya Koyama (Sea King Retsu)
- Takuya Eguchi (Kaoru Hanayama)
- Takayuki Sugo (Doppo Orochi)
