BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai Part 2 is coming to Netflix. The anime revealed a key visual and a teaser trailer. The first part premiered on February 26 of this year.

The information was revealed during the AnimeJapan 2026 event.

The anime is based on Keisuke Itagaki’s BAKI-DOU, which was published in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2014 to 2018. The new anime series picks up after the biggest father-son fight on earth, where, with no worthy opponents left, Baki and the other battle-hardened fighters grow miserably bored — until a plan is enacted to resurrect Musashi Miyamoto, the greatest swordsman in Japanese history.

TMS ENTERTAINMENT is animating the series under the direction of Toshiki Hirano. The series composition is by Tatsuhiko Urahata, character design by Shingo Ishikawa, and music by Kenji Fujisawa. Nobunaga Shimazaki is returning to voice Baki.

Baki the Grappler is a Japanese manga series by Keisuke Itagaki. After its completion in 1999, the series was followed by more sequels and various spin-offs. It inspired an OVA in 1994 and a TV series in 2001, and finally a Netflix series in 2018 by TMS Entertainment. The Baki series has become one of the best-selling manga series of all time, surpassing 100 million copies in circulation.
