Netflix has revealed the English dub version of the previously revealed trailer for BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai anime.

The English dub cast has also been announced, with  Troy Baker as Baki and SungWon Cho as Musashi Miyamoto. The cameos include The Miz, Nolan Hansen, Matt Mercer, Charles White Jr. aka Cr1tikal, and Lena Lemon.

The 13-episode anime will be exclusively on Netflix on February 26, 2026.

The trailer also that WANIMA will perform the series opening theme “FURUBOKO,” while Novel Core will perform the ending theme, “Mountain Top.” Their messages have also been released.

KENTA (WANIMA) shares: “I grew up reading and watching BAKI from a young age, captivated by its world beyond common sense and its many iconic scenes, often reenacting them with my friends.

For the Musashi Miyamoto arc, I wrote this song by overlapping the idea that ‘one’s way of life itself is a battle’ with the feeling of continuing to stand up, even after being completely beaten down. I’m truly happy and grateful to be involved in this work.”
Novel Core says, “I am truly honored to be entrusted with the ending theme for BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai. Yujiro is the strongest—and therefore the loneliest. Writing from Baki’s perspective as he seeks the source of that strength, I titled the song ‘Mountain Top’ to reflect the cost of strength, like how the air grows thinner the closer you get to the summit.

The philosophy of strength that Baki has long portrayed is woven into the lyrics. I believe it resonates with the drama and intensity of the fierce battles against Musashi. I hope viewers enjoy discovering the many musical details and hidden elements throughout the track, alongside the anime itself.”

The anime is based on Keisuke Itagaki’s BAKI-DOU, which was published in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2014 to 2018. The new anime series picks up after the biggest father-son fight on earth, where, with no worthy opponents left, Baki and the other battle-hardened fighters grow miserably bored — until a plan is enacted to resurrect Musashi Miyamoto, the greatest swordsman in Japanese history.

TMS ENTERTAINMENT, the studio behind Baki and Baki Hanma, is animating the series under the direction of Toshiki Hirano. The series composition is by Tatsuhiko Urahata, character design by Shingo Ishikawa, and music by Kenji Fujisawa. Nobunaga Shimazaki is returning to voice Baki.

Baki the Grappler is a Japanese manga series by Keisuke Itagaki. After its completion in 1999, the series was followed by more sequels and various spin-offs. It inspired an OVA in 1994 and a TV series in 2001, and finally a Netflix series in 2018 by TMS Entertainment. The Baki series has become one of the best-selling manga series of all time, surpassing 100 million copies in circulation.
