Baki-Dou Anime Unveils New Teaser Trailer and Visual
At its 10th anniversary celebratory event in Japan, Netflix unveiled a teaser trailer and visual for the new "BAKI-DOU" anime, highlighting the arrival of the Legendary Miyamoto Musashi. TMS Entertainment is animating the series. It will premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2026.
Nobunaga Shimazaki is returning to voice Baki. Netflix describes the plot of BAKI-DOU:
Following his legendary father-son battle against Yujiro Hanma, Baki faces a new threat: the resurrection of Japan’s greatest swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi. As warriors like Doppo Orochi, Jack Hanma, and Kaoru Hanayama return to the fight, the stage is set for an unprecedented clash—the strongest underground fighter vs. the legendary samurai, in a cross-era showdown.

The announcements were made during a special talk show featuring a dream collaboration between Keisuke Itagaki, creator of the BAKI manga series, and Paru Itagaki, creator of BEASTARS. The ongoing 10th anniversary event in Shibuya not only celebrates a decade of creativity and innovation but also highlights Netflix’s ongoing commitment to sharing Japanese stories that captivate, move, and thrill audiences around the world.
