Assassination Classroom: Our Time Movie Reveals Trailer, Key Visual
The previously announced Assassination Classroom: Our Time (Minna no Jikan) movie revealed a key visual and trailer ahead of the March 20, 2026, premiere date in Japan. Studio Lerche is animating.
Heard in the trailer is the theme song by Tomonari Sora, "Teacher (Cutting Edge)." Masaki Kitamura is directing the movie. Makoto Uezu is in charge of the screenplay, and Aya Higami is doing the character designs.
The main cast is reprising their roles for the movie:
- Jun Fukuyama as Koro-sensei
- Mai Fuchigami as Nagisa Shiota
- Aya Suzaki as Kaede Kayano
- Nobuhiko Okamoto as Karma Akabane
- Ryota Osaka as Yuma Isogai
- Shintaro Asanuma as Hiroto Maehara
Studio Lerche animated the Assassination Classroom anime, initially released in 2015. Seiji Kishi directed it, Kazuaki Morita was the character designer, and Makoto Uezu wrote the scripts. The first season was followed by a 25-episode sequel in 2016. The franchise also has several side stories and specials, as well as a movie from 2016, titled Assassination Classroom The Movie: 365 Days' Time. This movie is mostly a recap but features some new story elements.
The anime adapted the original manga by Yusei Matsui, serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2016. The plot follows a class of misfits, tasked with killing their teacher Koro-sensei: a mysterious octopus-looking creature, who is threatening to blow up the moon.
