AnimeJapan Reveals Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking 2026
The annual Manga We Want to See Animated Ranking is back just ahead of the AnimeJapan 2026, which is taking place March 28-29, 2026. The voting began on December 24, 2025, and ended on January 30 of this year. The voters got to choose between 48 nominees, and the titles that made it into the top ten can be found below.

- Strikeout Pitch by Kyu Sumiyoshi
- Ketsu Battler by Takade Naotaka
- Utsuranain desu by Ruka Konoshima
- #Gal x Gal Yuri by Inoue
- On and Off: Work-Life Imbalance by Shinnosuke Kanazawa
- Usotsuki! Gokuo-kun by Makoto Yoshimoto
- Dinosaur Sanctuary by Itaru Kinoshita (with Dr. Shin-ichi Fujiwara)
- Gokurakugai by Yuto Sano
- Centuria by Tohru Kuramori
Nue's Exorcist by Kota Kawae topped last year's list; Gokurakugai and Usotsuki! Gokuo-kun also appeared on it. Firefly Wedding and Kindergarten Wars, which ranked third and fifth, have anime projects in the works.
As of this year, the Hall of Fame (works ranked in the Top 10 at least three times) includes: Nue's Excorcist, Hyperinflation, Senpai Is Otokonoko, The Dangers in My Heart, The Apothecary Diaries, Komi Can't Communicate, Im: Great Priest Imhotep, and 10 Dance.
