Anime Movies in North American Theaters: May 2025
We have been lucky in getting many anime movie releases in North America recently, and it seems like May 2025 is no exception! As always, make sure to also check your local theaters if they are offering their own special screenings.

Wolf Children (4K)

Synopsis:
College student Hana falls in love with a “wolf man” and together they have two half-human, half-wolf children, Ame and Yuki. The young family’s happy but humble life comes to an abrupt end when the father is tragically killed during a hunt. After struggling to raise her children in the busy city, Hana boldly decides to move to a dilapidated house in the countryside, in hopes that her children may one day decide their own path to happiness – whether “human” or “wolf.”
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train (4K)

Synopsis:
Falling forever into an endless dream... Tanjiro and the group have completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion, and they arrive to their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over 40 people have disappeared in a very short period of time. Tanjiro and Nezuko, along with Zenitsu and Inosuke, join one of the most powerful swordsmen within the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to face the demon aboard the Mugen Train on track to despair.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train Returns to North American Cinemas in 4K
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train is returning to North American cinemas on May 14, 2025, in 4K for the first time, Crunchyroll announced. The movie will also be re-released in other select territories on the same day. Tickets for the re-release will go on sale on Wednesday, April 30.
