We have been lucky in getting many anime movie releases in North America recently, and we are back with a list of what you can enjoy in June 2026. As always, make sure to also check your local theaters if they are offering their own special screenings.

Ponyo

When Sosuke, a young boy who lives on a clifftop overlooking the sea, rescues a stranded goldfish named Ponyo, he discovers more than he bargained for. Ponyo is a curious, energetic young creature who yearns to be human, but even as she causes chaos around the house, her father, a sorcerer, schemes to return Ponyo to the sea. Loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale The Little Mermaid, Miyazaki’s breathtaking, imaginative world is brought to life with an all-star cast, featuring the voices of Cate Blanchett, Noah Cyrus, Matt Damon, Tina Fey, Frankie Jonas, Cloris Leachman, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin, and Betty White.

Crunchyroll Anime Nights Sneak Peek

June 15, 2026

Synopsis:

Crunchyroll Anime Nights is bringing together another sneak peek opportunity for fans who want to catch some of the upcoming summer anime season titles before they premiere in Japan! On June 15, special screenings of Clevatess Season 2, Skeleton Knight in Another World Season 2 and Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games will screen in United States and Canada theaters as part of the program. Each series will screen in Japanese with English subtitles.

Adolescence of Utena

June 21-22, 2026

Synopsis:

Utena enrolls in the prestigious Ohtori Academy on her quest to become a prince, and stumbles into a mysterious cabal of students dueling for possession of the “Rose Bride.” The role belongs to their classmate Anthy, an enigmatic girl who equally captivates and confuses Utena. BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity

June 25-29, 2026

Synopsis:

Destruction looms at the end of the Thousand-Year Blood War between the Soul Reapers and Quincies… 

The Royal Guard Squad Zero confronts Yhwach as he attempts to enter the Royal Palace. However, the Quincy King and his Royal Guard shatter Squad Zero’s powerful Bankai and finally steps into the Reio Greater Palace. 

Ichibe Hyosube entrusts Ichigo Kurosaki and his allies to protect the Soul King, but due to Yhwach’s trickery, Ichigo cuts down the Soul King with his sword. 

The death of the Soul King mirrors the collapse of the Three Worlds, as distortions and omens of destruction start to appear in all realms. 

The Thirteen Court Guard Squads join forces with the surviving Quincies and head for the Royal Palace, but it’s fallen under the control of the Wandenreich, who have transformed it into the Wahr Welt. The Royal Guard wait for them within the castle, ominously towering against the sky.
